About Blanke

Blanke, born John Paul Orchison on 16 December 1991, is an Australian electronic music producer and DJ from Canberra who has become one of the most versatile artists in the bass music ecosystem, working across melodic bass, dubstep, drum and bass, and hybrid electronic production depending on the creative context. Denver-based since relocating from Australia, he developed the Blanke project from his hometown into an internationally touring entity within approximately three years of sustained release activity. His production catalogue spans releases on Monstercat, Ophelia, Deadbeats, and Ministry of Sound — a range of label affiliations that reflects the genre breadth of his output and his ability to fit credibly within different curatorial contexts. His collaborators have included Illenium, REZZ, ATLiens, Seven Lions, Gryffin, and Zeds Dead, while his remix work encompasses commissions from Marshmello, Sullivan King, and Slander. In early 2021, he launched ÆON:MODE as a dedicated drum and bass project, demonstrating a commitment to the genre's technical precision alongside his melodic bass output rather than treating DnB as a secondary identity.
