Chris Stussy, born Niels Christian Steenbergen in the Netherlands in 1994, is a DJ, producer, and label head who has become one of the most respected figures in the contemporary global house scene. His sound draws heavily from jazz, funk, and disco — an approach rooted in deep groove and rhythmic texture rather than peak-hour aggression — producing tracks with intricate percussion, warm atmospheric synths, and basslines built for sustained floor momentum rather than one-time impact.
