About Deux Twins

Brigitte and Jaimee Navarrete — performing as Deux Twins — are identical twin sisters from Los Angeles whose path to professional DJing passed through music industry internship, nightlife service work, and self-taught Ableton production. Their introduction to the industry came in 2010 when they began interning for a pop music producer in Los Angeles, building structural understanding of how tracks are assembled and how the industry functions — groundwork that preceded their development as performers. They learned to mix and DJ around 2012 and adopted the name Deux — French for two — as their performing identity, a name capturing both the literal fact of their partnership and a deliberate positioning toward the European club culture whose music they were absorbing alongside the American hip-hop that formed the core of their taste. The years before their 2016 SKAM Artist signing were built on proximity rather than formal training: they worked as bottle service waitresses in Hollywood nightclubs while developing as DJs, occupying both sides of the nightclub floor economy and gaining a performer's understanding of what a room needs at each hour of the night. Working the floor in the same environments where DJs controlled the energy gave them a practical crowd dynamics education that no formal program could replicate. They booked their own studio time, collaborated with peers in the Los Angeles DJ community, and built their technical skills through self-directed Ableton work — using the software not just to create original tracks but to build real-time edits, custom drum layering, and live drop modifications that distinguish their sets from standard DJ performances. The Ableton approach gives their hip-hop and trap sets a live production quality: tracks behave differently on a club sound system than on streaming playback, and the Deux Twins format engineers the drop architecture for the specific room rather than reproducing a pre-recorded template. The SKAM Artist signing in 2016 placed their project within an agency whose booking footprint covers major US nightclub markets. Early placements reflected the credibility their pre-signing work had built: Drai's Nightclub on the Las Vegas Strip became one of their anchor venues, and bookings at LIV Miami — one of North America's most competitive nightclub markets — established their reach beyond Los Angeles. Festival slots at HARD Music Festival and Electric Zoo confirmed their hip-hop and trap format as viable in major festival contexts where production requirements and crowd scale differ significantly from club settings. Their production catalog includes credits for Flo Milli and Rich The Kid — collaborations that extend their hip-hop positioning from the DJ booth into the recording studio and connect their nightclub career to the chart-hip-hop ecosystem whose tracks anchor their live sets. Their 2022 Wynn Nightlife residency at XS Nightclub and Encore Beach Club marked the top tier of the Las Vegas nightclub residency hierarchy — a booking Brigitte described as 'a dream come true,' noting that 'it doesn't get better than the venues we're playing.' The residency was renewed for 2023 and has continued through 2026, with appearances at both XS Nightclub and Encore Beach Club across their active calendar. Brigitte, who is openly gay, has situated her visibility in the space within a broader LGBTQ+ representation context — 'I think there should be more of us. I love being a minority,' she told Out Traveler in 2022, describing her position in electronic music's male-dominated booking landscape as carrying value beyond the musical. Guest list through NoCoverVegas for their XS Nightclub and Encore Beach Club appearances provides complimentary entry for qualifying groups.
