Good Times Ahead — formerly known as GTA (a name retired in August 2019) — is an electronic music duo from Miami consisting of Julio Mejia (born December 8, 1990) and Matt Toth (born August 22, 1990), who met through social networking in 2010 and began producing together out of a converted dorm room in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Their eclectic, genre-defiant style speeds from trap and hip-hop through booming electro and into R&B and rock detours, unified by a mission statement they call 'death to genres.' Their catalog includes releases on Warner Bros. and Spinnin' Deep, and their Beatport discography spans house, electro house, and bass music. Julio's solo project JWLS has produced remixes for A-Trak and Danny Brown, while Matt's solo work as Van Toth includes remixes for Gina Turner.
