Florent Hugel, born December 4, 1987 in Marseille, France, is a DJ and producer whose career spans multiple house music subgenres — from Latin house to tech house, tribal house to Afro house — with an internationally cultivated touring profile and some of the most-downloaded remixes in house music history. He began DJing at 16 in Marseille, inspired by Daft Punk, Carl Cox, and Laurent Garnier. His 2018 remix of 'Bella Ciao,' the Italian folk song popularized globally by the Netflix series Money Heist, became one of the year's most viral house music tracks and generated tens of millions of streams by reaching audiences well outside the typical club circuit. His original track 'Morenita' helped popularize the Latin house genre in international clubbing contexts, reaching peak charts and introducing his sound to festival audiences across Europe and the Americas.
