Career Highlights
Jonathan Schumer — performing as John Summit — founded Experts Only Records in 2022, which rapidly became one of Beatport's most-followed DJ-launched imprints. His 2021 track Deep End defined the contemporary tech house sound for an entire generation, and La Danza (2023) — fusing Latin rhythms with underground electronic production — topped the Beatport main chart for multiple weeks. His festival headliner bookings at EDC Las Vegas, Lollapalooza, and Electric Forest have built him into one of the few tech house artists who sells out arenas. Sound & Style
Chicago house lineage expressed through peak-time tech house — John Summit's LIV sets build from rolling, groove-first sequences that reflect his genuine knowledge of the city's club culture before ascending toward the festival-energy peaks that have made his EDC Las Vegas and Lollapalooza appearances defining moments in contemporary electronic music. The structural arc is earned: the first hour establishes rhythmic authority before the peak-time moments carry the full weight the build demands.
Notable Tracks
- Deep End
- La Danza
- Miracle Maker (with Dom Dolla)
The LIV at Fontainebleau Experience
John Summit at LIV at Fontainebleau: What to Expect
John Summit at LIV Nightclub inside Fontainebleau Las Vegas reflects one of the defining artist-venue booking relationships in the current Las Vegas nightclub market â a Chicago-born producer and DJ who has established himself as one of house and tech-house music's most prominent names now confirmed for multiple dates at LIV across the 2026 summer calendar. Summit's production style â combining the driving four-on-the-floor structure of techno with the melodic warmth and accessible hooks of commercial house â occupies a position that bridges the underground credibility audience and the broader Las Vegas nightclub visitor demographic. LIV Nightclub's contained scale and focused room geometry creates the acoustic intimacy where Summit's bass-forward tech-house programming produces maximum floor impact: the kick drums arrive from close range rather than dispersed across a 75,000-square-foot ballroom, and the sub-bass of his productions is transmitted to the floor in a way that larger venues dilute. His August 9 LIV Nightclub date is a Sunday â the closing night of the second August weekend, following the Black Hat USA and DEF CON conference's main programming days. Sunday LIV Nightclub programming draws a crowd that differs from the Friday-Saturday peak: regular Las Vegas nightlife attendees, mid-trip visitors extending their stay into Sunday, and professionals in town through Sunday for conference commitments. The Sunday LIV crowd configuration often produces an atmosphere that regulars describe as more engaged and music-focused than the peak weekend shows, with a higher proportion of the audience specifically there for Summit rather than the general Saturday night Las Vegas nightlife experience. Summit's LIV set format respects this distinction: his Sunday bookings at LIV allow for more extended DJ work and less concession to the mainstream-crowd-appeal programming that peak Saturday headliner slots require. The tech-house production that defines his recent catalog â Shiver, La Danza, Make Me Feel, Deep End â operates at a BPM and rhythmic density that rewards sustained listening, which is better suited to the Sunday crowd composition than the Friday-Saturday visitor base. Guest list through NoCoverVegas covers complimentary Sunday entry â arrive before the posted cutoff, follow the Fontainebleau hotel wayfinding to LIV, and check in at the club door.
