Who Is Malaa?
Since debuting on Tchami's Confession label in 2015 with Pregnant and the anthemic Notorious, Malaa has operated entirely anonymously — a balaclava-wearing French producer whose identity remains unknown. Part of the Pardon My French collective alongside DJ Snake, Tchami, and Mercer, his G-House and bass house sound draws from the dark side of French electronic music. His ongoing Who Is Malaa Soundcloud series keeps the mystery alive while his live sets deliver some of the heaviest bass-driven house shows on the circuit.
Malaa debuted on Tchami's Confession label in 2015 with Notorious — a G-House anthem that established him as a defining force in French bass house. His complete anonymity behind a balaclava is integral to the Malaa identity, sustained across a decade of international touring and releases without a confirmed identity. At Zouk Nightclub, Malaa performs on Select dates, commanding some of the venue's most in-demand time slots.
