About Nicole Moudaber

Nicole Moudaber — born 19 January 1977 in Ibadan, Nigeria, of Lebanese heritage — arrived at DJing through event promotion rather than the record shop or bedroom production path more common in electronic music. Her early years in Beirut's underground club scene gave her an operator's understanding of how parties function: the relationship between crowd dynamics, timing, and music selection that separates a DJ who can technically mix from one who can actually move a room. She refined that skill into a techno practice built on dark, driving sound and impeccable reading of momentum — the qualities her name became synonymous with as she moved from Beirut to the international circuit. On 25 February 2013, Moudaber launched MOOD Records, her own imprint, with the release of her In The Mood EP. The label grew into a significant curatorial platform for cutting-edge techno, signing both established artists and emerging producers within the same imprint identity. Its focus on authoritative, uncompromising techno rather than crossover-oriented music reflects the same aesthetic discipline she applies to her own productions and DJ sets.
