About Porter Robinson

Porter Robinson — born July 15, 1992 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina — began producing electronic music at age 12 and released his first singles in 2010 at 18. His debut studio album Worlds (2014) debuted at number one on Billboard's Top Dance/Electronic Albums and reshaped expectations for what an EDM album could communicate emotionally — combining anime-influenced aesthetics, live singing, and introspective narrative with peak-hour electronic production in a way the mainstream EDM context had not articulated before it.
