Sub Zero Project is a Dutch hardstyle duo consisting of Thomas Velderman (born 19 April 1996) and Nigel Coppen (born 9 March 1997), who met through YouTube as teenagers in 2013 when both were already immersed in hardstyle production despite having no physical proximity or formal industry connections. Both attended the Herman Brood Academy in Utrecht, where they studied music production, formalising skills they had developed independently before their collaboration.
