Sunday Service at Vinyl Room closes the weekly programming calendar at Mandalay Bay's 63rd-floor vinyl listening lounge with sets that trace gospel, soul, and R&B roots music — a nod toward the House of Blues cultural identity that made the former Foundation Room distinctive for 25 years before Live Nation's 2026 transformation. The Sunday format draws from the gospel and soul music traditions embedded in American popular music, programming records that connect the Las Vegas entertainment circuit to the church-to-stage trajectories of artists whose vocal and compositional techniques defined American popular music from the 1950s through the present. The kissa-ba listening lounge format — where the curation of the vinyl selection is the primary experience — produces a Sunday atmosphere that is quieter and more contemplative than the peak-energy nights of Friday and Saturday while remaining fully nightclub-scale in its ambiance and service.
