About Wuki

Kris Barman — performing as Wuki — is an American DJ and producer whose electronic music career began after a period as a member of the electronic rock band Innerpartysystem from 2007 to 2011, where he performed vocals, guitar, and synthesizer before the band announced an indefinite hiatus and Barman relocated to Denver, Colorado to launch his solo project. His sound under the Wuki alias ranges across bass house, Jersey club, Detroit ghettotech, Chicago footwork, and dubstep — a genre breadth that distinguishes him from single-format producers and gives his DJ sets unpredictable energy appropriate for the Wynn Nightlife programming context at XS Nightclub and Encore Beach Club. His 2019 remix of Miley Cyrus's 'Mother's Daughter' earned a Grammy nomination for Best Remixed Recording at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards — industry recognition for a remix that maintained the original's aggressive energy while rebuilding the production around electronic music structures. He founded his own label Wukileaks in 2018 as an independent release platform. His debut album WukiWorld (2021, HARD Recs) featured collaborations with Diplo, Shaquille O'Neal, Juvenile, Yung Baby Tate, and Smokepurpp — a feature roster that reflected his range across electronic and hip-hop crossover. His 2022 remake of Stevie Nicks' 'Edge of Seventeen' on Virgin/Thrive accumulated 40 million Spotify streams, demonstrating the commercial reach of his production approach outside the electronic music specialist audience. His Las Vegas appearances at XS Nightclub and Encore Beach Club at Wynn Las Vegas bring his bass-forward, genre-fluid energy to Wynn Nightlife's premier electronic programming stages.
