What to Expect

EDC Week Nightlife Guide

EDC Week is the seven-day stretch surrounding Electric Daisy Carnival. Every nightclub and dayclub on the Strip books headliner DJs for special events. Even if you do not have EDC tickets, EDC Week is the single best week to experience Las Vegas electronic music nightlife. The energy across the entire city is electric, with pool parties during the day and mega-club events every night. Club events during EDC Week often feature the same DJs performing at the festival itself.

EDC Week Without Festival Tickets: How Las Vegas Nightlife Serves 400,000 EDM Fans

Electric Daisy Carnival 2026 runs May 16 through 18 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with a daily capacity of approximately 140,000 attendees. But EDC Week — the seven-day stretch surrounding the festival — brings an estimated 400,000 to 500,000 electronic music fans into Las Vegas. The gap between those numbers is the foundation of EDC Week nightlife economics: hundreds of thousands of people who are in Las Vegas during EDC Week either do not have festival tickets, choose to skip the Speedway on certain nights, or are spending their daylight hours on the Strip before heading out later. The Las Vegas nightclub industry built a complete parallel programming structure around this reality years ago. During EDC Week, Strip nightclubs and dayclubs book the same artists performing at the Speedway — often on different nights, or in a configuration where a DJ plays the festival on Saturday and a nightclub on Thursday. For festival attendees who attend all three EDC nights (Friday through Sunday), Monday becomes the decompression day when they want electronic music but in a more controlled environment than the Speedway. Nightclubs respond by booking Monday headliners who play in a club-friendly style — DJ Snake at Marquee on Monday of EDC Week 2026 is a deliberate choice, a hip-hop set that serves the post-festival crowd wanting to celebrate without another full festival-intensity night. The result: a visitor to Las Vegas for EDC Week who never purchases a festival ticket can experience seven consecutive nights of authentic electronic music nightlife at a fraction of the festival cost. Festival GA passes run $400 to $500 for a three-day ticket. A full EDC Week nightclub itinerary through NoCoverVegas guest list costs zero in admission charges. For EDM fans on a budget, EDC Week nightclubs are the most cost-effective way to experience the talent concentration of festival week without the festival price.

Arrival Timing Changes During EDC Week — The Strategy That Saves Your Night

EDC Week fundamentally shifts the logistics of Las Vegas nightlife arrival, and visitors who treat it like a normal Friday or Saturday encounter the most compressed entry lines of the year. The festival at Las Vegas Motor Speedway runs until approximately 5 AM each night. A portion of attendees leave early — typically between 1 and 3 AM — and make their way back to Strip nightclubs as post-festival continuation venues. This creates a second arrival wave at 2:30 to 3:30 AM that is unlike anything in standard Las Vegas scheduling. Nightclub security and guest list operations respond by moving their check-in cutoffs earlier than normal to maintain queue management at the peak hours. At most venues during EDC Week, guest list check-in closes at 12:30 AM rather than the standard 1:00 AM window. For the highest-demand headliner nights — The Chainsmokers at XS on Saturday, Chris Lake at OMNIA on Saturday, Calvin Harris at EBC in the daytime — check-in can close as early as midnight. Arriving by 11 PM is the safe strategy for all major EDC Week nightclub and dayclub events. For Encore Beach Club daytime events starting at 11 AM, peak fill times advance as well: Calvin Harris Saturday at EBC typically reaches standing capacity before 12:30 PM, ninety minutes earlier than a normal Saturday crowd build. Plan for 11:00 AM arrival at EBC on Calvin Harris day. Dress code for EDC Week is more flexible than standard weekends. Festival fashion — sequin outfits, LED accessories, rave attire, elaborate face makeup — is explicitly permitted at most venues as an acknowledgment of the EDC Week audience. No athletic shorts or open-toe shoes for men still applies, but the range of acceptable fashion expands significantly compared to a typical Saturday. Confirm your specific venue's festival fashion policy in advance; the industry-wide posture is accommodation rather than restriction during EDC Week.

Day Parties and Pool Scene During EDC Week 2026

EDC Week dayclubs attract a fundamentally different audience than standard weekend pool parties because the festival crowd brings a level of musical engagement that hotel pool regulars rarely match. People who have been at the Speedway for three nights arrive at dayclubs already connected to the artists, already conditioned to responsive crowd behavior, and already in the collective energy that defines festival culture. The effect on pool parties during EDC Week is visible and consistent: the crowd response to DJ sets is more active, more knowledgeable, and more intense than a typical Saturday afternoon. Encore Beach Club runs the most prestigious EDC Week dayclub programming, with Subtronics on Thursday, Gryffin on Friday, Calvin Harris on Saturday, and Marshmello on Sunday confirmed for 2026. These four consecutive days represent one of EBC's most stacked multi-day runs. Calvin Harris Saturday is the highest-demand day of EDC Week at EBC — submit your NoCoverVegas guest list by Monday of EDC Week for this specific event; Saturday may require tickets for men even with advance submission. Subtronics Thursday and Marshmello Sunday are more consistently guest-list accessible. AYU Dayclub at Fontainebleau programs Alison Wonderland, Noizu, and Mathame across three EDC Week afternoons, offering a slightly more boutique pool party alternative to EBC's large-scale production. OMNIA Dayclub opens its first-ever EDC Week programming in 2026 with Fisher, Rufus du Sol, and Martin Garrix anchoring the opening weekend. For guests who want the dayclub experience with shorter lines than EBC, Palm Tree Beach Club at MGM Grand programs house music and tropical sounds that attract a different cross-section of the EDC Week audience. Stadium Swim downtown programs heavy-hitting acts with its six-pool configuration and 125-foot LED screens, creating an outdoor festival atmosphere that is uniquely strong for a non-Strip pool venue. All major dayclubs run 11 AM to 6 PM during EDC Week.

After 5 AM: The EDC Early-Morning Continuation Culture on the Strip

Electric Daisy Carnival closes at 5 AM. A significant portion of the 140,000 daily attendees then travel from the Speedway back to the Strip — by rideshare or EDC shuttle bus — arriving at Strip hotels between 5:30 and 7:00 AM. This creates a consistent early-morning wave of nightlife activity that Las Vegas has adapted to accommodate over more than a decade of hosting the festival. Several Strip venues program EDC after-parties in the 4 to 8 AM range specifically to capture this audience. These are not venue extensions of the normal nightclub night. They are dedicated early-morning events with DJ programming, bar service, and door admission calibrated for people who have already been out for eight to ten hours and want to continue in a more controlled environment than the Speedway. Zouk Nightclub at Resorts World has programmed EDC after-parties in recent years, leveraging its location as the northernmost major resort on the Strip and therefore the closest major venue to the Speedway by rideshare time. Hakkasan at MGM Grand programs late-night EDC extensions using its 24-hour liquor license and the large festival audience staying at MGM-managed properties throughout the week. For guests who want to experience the EDC Week after-hours culture without committing to a formal after-party venue, the pool areas of several Strip hotels — Resorts World, Cosmopolitan, The LINQ — allow hotel guests access into early morning hours. By 9 or 10 AM the Strip returns to its normal rhythm. Festival attendees sleep, and the cycle resets for the afternoon dayclub session starting at 11 AM. Managing sleep during EDC Week is the critical logistics variable. Most experienced EDC Week attendees adopt a two-session schedule: festival midnight to 5 AM, sleep from 6 AM to noon, dayclub from 1 PM to 5 PM, dinner and transition from 6 to 9 PM, nightclub from 10 PM to 2 AM, and back to the festival at midnight. The dayclub bridges the festival nights and makes the full EDC Week experience sustainable across seven days.

Plan Ahead

Planning Your EDC Week Trip

Las Vegas transforms during EDC Week (May 13–19, 2026). The Strip fills with visitors from across the country, and every major resort, nightclub, and restaurant raises its game for the occasion. Whether this is your first time visiting Vegas for a holiday weekend or you have been before, having a plan makes the difference between a good trip and an unforgettable one. Hotels near the center of the Strip — between The Cosmopolitan and The Venetian — put you within walking distance of the highest concentration of nightlife venues, so you spend less time in transit and more time enjoying the holiday.

We recommend arriving on the day before EDC Week officially begins so you can settle in and scope out the scene. Most clubs announce their holiday lineups and special events two to three weeks before the date, so keep an eye on our holiday calendar for updates. Signing up for guest list early through NoCoverVegas guarantees your spot, even if venues tighten availability closer to the weekend. Once you have your guest list confirmation, you can focus on dinner reservations, shows, and everything else that makes Vegas the entertainment capital of the world.

Group coordination is the biggest challenge for holiday weekends. If you are traveling with four or more people, designate a point person to handle all the bookings and guest list signups in one submission. This ensures your entire group is on the same list at the same venue, which avoids confusion at the door. Text us at (725) 999-9293 with your group details and we will handle the rest — from guest list placement to restaurant recommendations near your hotel.

Step-by-Step

How to Get Free Entry During EDC Week

Getting into Las Vegas nightclubs without paying cover during a holiday weekend is straightforward when you use a guest list service. Here is exactly how it works for EDC Week through NoCoverVegas, from signup to walking past the velvet rope.

1

Sign Up on NoCoverVegas

Submit your name, group size, and the date you want to go out using the form on this page or text us at (725) 999-9293. Signing up takes less than sixty seconds and is completely free. Do this at least one day before your night out — earlier is better for EDC Week weekend, since venues may cap their guest lists.

2

Receive Your Confirmation

We will text you a confirmation with your venue, the check-in time, and the name your group is listed under. Save this text — you will show it to the guest list host at the door. For EDC Week, most confirmations go out by 5 PM on the day of your reservation.

3

Arrive During the Guest List Window

Guest list entry at most Las Vegas nightclubs is valid from doors open until approximately 12:30 AM for women and 12:00 AM for men. Arriving within this window is essential — after the cutoff, you will need to purchase general admission or a table. We recommend arriving by 10:30 PM on holiday weekends to avoid long lines.

4

Check In at the Guest List Entrance

When you arrive at the venue, look for the dedicated guest list or VIP check-in line — it is separate from the general admission line and typically much shorter. Give the host the name on your confirmation. Once checked in, you walk straight into the venue with no cover charge. For EDC Week, expect the check-in process to take five to fifteen minutes depending on the venue.

5

Enjoy the Night

Once inside, the full venue is open to you — dance floor, bars, outdoor areas, everything. The only difference between guest list entry and a purchased ticket is that guest list does not include reserved seating. If you want a table, let us know when you sign up and we can add VIP table service to your reservation at a discounted rate.

Know Before You Go

Pricing During EDC Week

Holiday weekends are peak season for Las Vegas nightlife, and pricing reflects the increased demand. General admission cover charges at major nightclubs on the Strip typically range from $30 to $75 per person on a normal weekend, but during EDC Week those prices can climb to $50 to $150 or more, especially at venues with headliner DJs or live performers. Women usually pay less than men at the door, but even reduced female pricing increases during holidays.

That is where guest list makes the biggest difference. When you sign up through NoCoverVegas, you skip the cover charge entirely — even during EDC Week weekend. The savings add up fast: a group of six avoiding a $75 cover keeps $450 in their pocket before they even order a drink. Guest list is free for women at virtually every venue, and free or heavily reduced for men at most clubs during holiday weekends.

VIP table service is another option for groups who want a reserved space and bottle service. Table minimums during EDC Week typically start at $1,500 to $3,000 at mid-tier venues and can reach $5,000 to $20,000 or more at top-tier clubs like XS, Zouk, or OMNIA for prime locations. If a table is in your budget, we can negotiate preferred pricing and placement through our venue relationships. If not, guest list entry gives you full access to the venue without any spend minimum — it is the best deal in Las Vegas nightlife.

Insider Tips

Tips for EDC Week in Vegas

1

EDC Week club events are separate from the festival itself — you do not need an EDC ticket to attend pool parties and nightclubs on the Strip.

2

Book guest list as early as possible. EDC Week is the busiest nightlife week of the year, and spots fill up fast at every venue.

3

Pace yourself. Between dayclubs, nightclubs, and the festival itself, EDC Week can be an exhausting marathon if you try to do everything.

4

Club dress codes are slightly more relaxed during EDC Week — festival fashion and rave attire are generally accepted at most venues.

5

Pool parties during EDC Week are just as good as the nightclub events. Build your schedule around both daytime and nighttime sets.

Dress Code

What to Wear for EDC Week in Vegas

Las Vegas nightclubs enforce dress codes year-round, and holiday weekends are no exception. The standard rule is upscale casual to dressy: collared shirts, dress shoes or clean designer sneakers, and fitted pants or jeans for men. For women, dresses, heels, and stylish going-out attire are always appropriate. During EDC Week, the crowd tends to dress up even more than usual, so matching that energy helps you blend in and ensures a smooth entry at the door.

Specific items to avoid at all Las Vegas nightclubs include athletic wear, shorts, sandals, flip-flops, jerseys, baggy clothing, and any visible logos from workwear brands. Hats are generally not allowed at most venues, though some clubs are more lenient on fitted caps. When in doubt, err on the side of overdressing — you will never be turned away for looking too good. For a more detailed breakdown, check out our Las Vegas dress code guide.

If your EDC Weekplans include both a nightclub and a strip club in the same night, good news: strip clubs in Las Vegas have more relaxed dress codes than nightclubs. You can come dressed for the club and be perfectly fine at Sapphire, Crazy Horse III, or any other top gentlemen's club on our list. Planning a daytime pool party? Those are swimwear-appropriate with coverups — a completely different vibe from nighttime venues.

Transportation

Getting Around Vegas During EDC Week

Transportation is one of the biggest headaches during holiday weekends in Las Vegas, and EDC Week is no different. Rideshare prices surge dramatically between 10 PM and 2 AM on peak nights, and what normally costs $10 to $15 can balloon to $40 to $60 or more. Planning your transportation in advance saves money and ensures you actually arrive at the venue on time for your guest list window.

If your hotel is on the Strip and the club is also on the Strip, walking is often the fastest option — even if your phone says otherwise. Traffic during EDC Week can turn a five-minute drive into a thirty-minute crawl. The Las Vegas Monorail runs along the east side of the Strip and connects seven stations from MGM Grand to the SAHARA, making it a reliable option for getting between venues without dealing with street-level congestion. Single rides are $5 and unlimited day passes are $13.

For strip clubs, NoCoverVegas offers free guest list entry from your hotel — this is the easiest and most cost-effective way to get to venues like Sapphire and Crazy Horse III, especially during busy holiday weekends. Just include your hotel name and preferred pickup time when you sign up for the guest list, and we will arrange everything. No rideshare surge, no waiting for a taxi, and no cover charge when you arrive.

Walking

Free and fast for Strip clubs within 1 mile of your hotel. Budget 15-20 minutes per mile.

Monorail

$5 per ride or $13 day pass. Runs until midnight on weekdays, 2 AM on weekends.

Rideshare

Uber and Lyft are widely available. Request from designated pickup areas to avoid delays. Expect surge pricing after 10 PM.

Free Entry

Complimentary pickup to strip clubs through NoCoverVegas. Includes return trip. Text us to arrange.

30 Years of EDC

EDC 2026: Three Decades of Dusk Till Dawn

Electric Daisy Carnival returns to Las Vegas Motor Speedway in 2026 for its thirtieth year, marking three decades since the first EDC took place in 1997 in Los Angeles. What began as a small warehouse rave has grown into the largest electronic music festival in North America, drawing over 140,000 fans each night across eight production stages. Insomniac Events has spent those three decades refining every element of the EDC experience — from stage production budgets that now exceed $20 million to harm-reduction programming and on-site medical infrastructure that have made EDC a model for festival safety globally.

For Las Vegas, EDC Week is the biggest economic event of the year outside the Formula 1 Grand Prix. Hotel occupancy on the Strip exceeds 97 percent from Wednesday through Sunday. Nightclubs book their most expensive talent of the year across seven consecutive evenings. The estimated economic impact of EDC Week exceeds $250 million annually when including hotel stays, dining, nightlife spend, and ancillary tourism. Approximately 400,000 to 500,000 electronic music fans enter Las Vegas during EDC Week — the gap between that number and the festival's 140,000-per-night capacity is the pool of people attending club events on the Strip instead of or in addition to the festival itself.

The 2026 edition introduces the first-ever OMNIA Dayclub at Caesars Palace, opening May 15 — the first day of the festival — bringing a 46,000-square-foot purpose-built dayclub to the Las Vegas nightlife ecosystem for its inaugural EDC Week. This means 2026 is the first year that every major dayclub on the Strip is operating simultaneously during EDC: Encore Beach Club, Marquee Dayclub, LIV Beach, AYU Dayclub, Tao Beach, Palm Tree Beach Club, and OMNIA Dayclub. For fans planning their first EDC Week, 2026 is the most complete version of the experience that has ever existed.

The Festival Venue

Las Vegas Motor Speedway: Inside the EDC Venue

Electric Daisy Carnival takes place at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, located at 7000 Las Vegas Blvd N — approximately 12 miles north of the Strip, a 20 to 25 minute drive without traffic. Rideshare surge pricing during EDC exit hours (4 to 6 AM) can push the trip cost to $60 to $100 one way. The official Insomniac shuttle passes, which run from multiple Strip pickup locations, are the most reliable and cost-effective option for getting to and from the festival each night.

The Speedway hosts EDC across eight uniquely themed stages spread across the infield, infield lakes, and outer oval areas. Each stage has distinct production aesthetics, sound systems, and programming identities. Understanding the stage map before you arrive makes a significant difference in navigating the festival efficiently, especially on Friday and Saturday nights when all eight stages run simultaneously.

Getting to the Festival

EDC Shuttle Guide: Strip to Motor Speedway

The official Insomniac shuttle is the most reliable way to travel between the Strip and Las Vegas Motor Speedway during EDC. Rideshare options exist but surge pricing between midnight and 6 AM can reach $80 to $120 one way, and wait times at the Speedway after the festival can exceed 45 minutes. The shuttle runs on a fixed schedule from multiple Strip hotel clusters, costs approximately $50 to $70 per day (or $130 to $160 for a multi-day pass), and drops off directly at the festival entrance.

Shuttle pickup locations cluster at three zones: south Strip near MGM Grand and ARIA, mid-Strip near The Cosmopolitan and Bellagio, and north Strip near Wynn and Fontainebleau. Shuttles depart from approximately 6 PM through 9 PM for inbound service and run return trips continuously from 1 AM through 7 AM. The last outbound shuttle leaves pickup points around 9 PM — plan to reach your pickup zone by 8:30 PM at the latest.

Official Shuttle Pass

$50–70 per day or $130–160 for a 3-day pass. Purchased through Insomniac.com. Includes return service from the Speedway. Avoids surge pricing entirely — the best value transportation option.

Rideshare (Uber/Lyft)

Available but surge pricing during peak exit hours (midnight to 6 AM) reaches $80–120 one way. Long wait times post-festival. Best used for getting between Strip venues during EDC Week, not for the festival commute itself.

Drive & Park

Speedway parking passes available via Insomniac. Plan your exit before 4 AM to avoid post-festival traffic. Requires a designated sober driver for 10-hour festival nights. Best for guests at north Strip properties closest to LVMS.

First-Timer Survival Guide

EDC 2026 Complete First-Timer Guide

EDC at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is a 10-hour outdoor event in the Nevada desert. Preparation makes the difference between a transcendent experience and a difficult night. Here is everything you need to know before you arrive at the Speedway.

Festival Dress Code

EDC has no dress code restrictions — the festival is renowned for elaborate costumes, rave attire, LED accessories, and creative expression. Sequins, pastel outfits, lingerie-inspired festival fashion, furry boots, and full rave costumes are all standard at EDC. For Strip nightclubs during EDC Week, most venues explicitly permit festival fashion as an exception to their normal policy. Athletic shorts, open-toe shoes for men, and baggy athletic wear are still prohibited at nightclubs even during EDC Week — but sequin outfits, rave boots, and LED accessories are permitted at the door.

Prohibited Items at EDC 2026

Backpacks larger than 12 in × 6 in × 12 in
Outside food or beverages (policies vary by year — check Insomniac.com)
Professional cameras or detachable lens cameras
Selfie sticks longer than 6 inches
Umbrellas and parasols of any size
Laser pointers of any kind
Any weapons including pocket knives
Drones or remote-controlled aircraft

Hydration & Health at EDC

Las Vegas in mid-May has nighttime temperatures between 70 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit at the Motor Speedway, with the dry desert air accelerating dehydration faster than it feels. EDC installs free water refill stations throughout the venue — locate them on the official festival app map before you enter the gates. Drink at least 8 ounces of water per hour of dancing. The EDC medical team operates first-aid stations near each major stage and runs a dedicated harm-reduction program — these resources are available and non-judgmental throughout the festival night.

Phone Charging at the Festival

A 10-hour festival will drain your phone battery completely. EDC provides on-site charging stations near the main food vendor areas — locate them on the festival app before you arrive. A portable battery bank (allowed in approved bag sizes) is the single most useful item you can pack for EDC. Download and cache the festival app map before arriving — cell service becomes unreliable inside the Speedway when 140,000 people are simultaneously on the same network towers.

On-Site Camping at EDC 2026

Insomniac offers on-site camping at Las Vegas Motor Speedway through its Speedway Camping program, with tiers including Car Camping, Rideshare Camping, Premier Camping, and Glamping (pre-built furnished tents with beds and power). On-site camping eliminates the shuttle commute and allows immediate gate access when the festival opens each night. The trade-off: daytime temperatures inside tents can exceed 110 degrees Fahrenheit, and amenities are limited compared to Strip hotels. Most first-timers who also plan to attend Strip nightclub events during EDC Week prefer hotel accommodation for the thermal comfort advantage and proximity to clubs.
