Resorts World Theatre — Las Vegas's Iconic Theater

Resorts World Theatre opened in June 2021 as part of the $4.3 billion Resorts World Las Vegas resort — the first new ground-up megaresort built on the Las Vegas Strip in more than a decade. The 5,000-seat theater was designed from the beginning as a flagship residency venue, with construction timelines aligned specifically to attract A-list talent to the Strip's newest luxury destination. The commitment paid off immediately: Celine Dion was announced as the anchor residency act before the resort opened, joining Katy Perry and Luke Bryan as launch headliners — a lineup that established Resorts World Theatre as a serious peer to The Colosseum at Caesars and Dolby Live at Park MGM in the Strip's residency hierarchy.

The theater's technical specifications reflect the investment standards of a next-generation venue. The stage is 180 feet wide — one of the largest in Las Vegas — with a flying grid that can accommodate production elements as complex as any world arena tour. The sound system was custom-designed for the space with a line-array configuration and acoustic treatment that delivers consistent sound quality from the front row to the rear of the upper bowl. The seating bowl pitches steeply, ensuring sight lines from the back rows remain clear. These specifications are not incidental: Resorts World Theatre was explicitly designed to host artists whose production requirements exceed what older Las Vegas theaters can accommodate.

Resorts World Las Vegas sits at the north end of the Strip at 3000 S Las Vegas Blvd — on the site of the former Stardust Casino — which positions the theater at a slight remove from the concentrated mid-Strip entertainment corridor. The north Strip location is served directly by the Las Vegas Monorail at the Westgate-Convention Center station, and rideshare times from most Strip hotels run 5–12 minutes. The resort itself contains Zouk Nightclub, the most technologically advanced new nightclub on the Strip, making the post-show transition exceptionally easy for guests who want to extend the evening without leaving the property.

The theater's programming in its first three years established a calendar that rivals any residency venue in Las Vegas. Beyond the launch headliners, the venue has hosted Carrie Underwood's Reflection residency, Tiësto, Silk Sonic (Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak), and a range of touring acts that use the venue's north Strip positioning as a complement to competing bookings at mid-Strip properties. The 5,000-seat capacity positions Resorts World Theatre in the same tier as Dolby Live and above The Colosseum and Venetian Theatre — appropriate for artists whose fanbase demands scale while still maintaining the relationship between performer and audience that defines a theater experience over an arena one.
