Dax J is a London-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer whose sound moves between the driving rhythmic density of modern techno and the deeper jungle influences of his musical roots. He discovered the techno sound during a full season spent in Ibiza in summer 2007, and from that point forward his creative direction shifted entirely toward the 4/4 structure and machine-driven pressure of cutting-edge techno and drum and bass. In 2013, he founded Monnom Black, a Berlin-based record label that became his primary release platform while also introducing producers such as Kaelan and Emmanuel to a wider underground audience — an indication of his investment in building the techno ecosystem beyond his own discography.
