The distinction matters practically: staying at Wynn Las Vegas gives you access to the hotel pool for free, but Encore Beach Club next door still requires a guest list or paid ticket regardless of your hotel booking. Similarly, Caesars Palace hotel guests can use the resort pool, but OMNIA Dayclub at Caesars is a separate venue with its own entry system.
You also do not need to stay at the hotel to attend its dayclub. Non-guests can buy tickets, join guest lists, or book daybeds at any Las Vegas dayclub.
