Insider Tips

CONEXPO-CON/AGG Tips for First-Timers

  • Wear comfortable, broken-in shoes. You will walk 15,000 to 20,000 steps per day across the massive show floor.
  • Download the official CONEXPO app before you arrive. Use it to plan your route, bookmark booths, and check the education session schedule.
  • Bring a portable phone charger. The convention center is so large that you will burn through your battery navigating and taking photos.
  • The outdoor demo areas are the highlight of CONEXPO. Plan to spend at least a full morning watching live equipment demonstrations.
  • Pack layers. The show floor can be warm from crowds and equipment, but the air conditioning in session rooms is aggressive.
  • Carry a small backpack or tote for the mountain of literature, swag, and business cards you will accumulate.
  • Hit the show floor right when doors open at 9 AM if you want to talk to exhibitors without fighting crowds. The midday rush (11 AM – 2 PM) is the busiest.
