Three days is the ideal allocation for a complete SEMA experience. The nine indoor halls are each organized by product category, and a single hall can take a full morning to cover properly when you factor in booth conversations and product demonstrations. Plan your hall-by-hall routing before you arrive using the SEMA app — aimless walking at a show this size costs hours.

The outdoor vehicle displays surrounding the LVCC are worth a full morning of your time: manufacturers bring their most dramatic concept builds and show vehicles for display-only viewing that never makes it onto the floor inside. Plan your outdoor time for Tuesday or Wednesday morning when the crowds inside the halls are heaviest and the outdoor areas are relatively clear.
• Friday afternoon is the SEMA Cruise — hundreds of custom and show vehicles parade down the Las Vegas Strip from the LVCC toward the south end of the Boulevard. Find a viewing spot on Las Vegas Blvd by 2:30 PM for the best sightlines. The Cruise is free and open to the public — it is one of the most extraordinary automotive spectacles in the world and consistently draws tens of thousands of spectators who have no connection to the trade show itself. After the Cruise, Friday transitions quickly to SEMA's most social evening — the final night of the show before the majority of attendees depart, making Thursday and Friday nights the highest-energy evenings of SEMA Week.
